What's the difference between Christmas lights and Patio lights?

Christmas/holiday lights are seasonal decorations that contain holiday themes, colors, and other attributes.  Christmas/holiday lights are only permitted October - January.  String lights on the front of the home are considered holiday lights and can only be displayed during the holiday season.

The only permitted lights on the front of your home during the non-holiday season (February - September) are sconces built into the home, and small lights that illuminate the path from the driveway to the front door.

Patio lights are in the rear of the home, where they are not visible from the street.  All types of lights in your walled off patio or yard are permitted year round, as long as they are of average brightness and do not disrupt your neighbors.
